Metaversal Fire Dog Forecast (Jan 29-Feb 2)

Brought to you by Johannes Ayres...

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM
THE METAVERSAL FIREWEEK FORECAST

ATZILUTH
THE WORLD OF FIRE, THE SPIRIT BODY
FIRST QUARTER MOON
-FIREWEEK-
January 29th to February 2nd

This forecast has a fixed meaning that does not change, whether read out loud in a catacomb or read in silence in a control tower... it is not immune to polyglot shift - if it has been written, spoken or otherwise processed in any language other than English, a translation has occurred; in this event, please contact the manfacturer should you wish to be issued the original English language version. May cause reader's mind to light up like a firebombed motorcade. It may also be used to rouse someone from a deep slumber if spoken loudly enough - optimal volume will vary according to proximity of speaker to subject (and density of the sleepstate). The seed/ideas we have from the New Moon to the First Quarter Moon come from the kabbalistic world of Atziluth (Fire) and are the blueprints/seeds for everything that exists, has existed, and will ever exist in the physical world of Assiah (Earth), as an embodiment of the archetypal idealized apple (or a least the Core): The letters of Living Light, or fire writing, are activating in greater conscious awareness with this Fireweek.

These letters are first being seeded into the sub-conscious during sleep. These letters shape our lightcrafts vibratory structure on a small scale. Now imagine how this divine Language can quicken your craft to an even greater scale of creation where human language is replaced by a language of Light-specific pictures. Avoid any doctrine or religious movement that advocates a shameful wickedness with the alphabet. The words grow here slick and filthy and unhindered by enterprise. Linearity in print and thought has made language unable to deal with the Metaverse in any meaningful way, except as pathology. Now the Metaverse is returning to the language through people like us with one foot in each world. The human mind is haunted both by the many presences sensed within the self and by a confused sense of self. Wherever we turn in the world of nature and the psyche, we encounter life, animation, and a willingness to communicate that confounds the fragile pyramid of boundary consciousness and human values that have emerged over historical time through the suppression of our intuitions. It's like when the cicadas emblazon the trees with the sonority of their oversoul. The secret agendas of the Neocons--Oil, empire and Israel--now lie fully exposed and call into question their divided loyalties, like bleak, hateful locomotives rolling across our ancestors sleep-thickened hearts. Haven't you noticed the Grand Square of late? Everyone has. That is, everyone choosing to be honest about how life has really been going.

Consider that Mars now has passed by Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune. The Cross is done not to be repeated with Mars in Taurus. Sure later in the year with Mars in Leo we'll get more triggers and then more yet as he heads to home turf in Scorpio, but right now the tension eases leaving a three-legged stool of Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune. Three-legged stools, unlike four legged stools, never wobble. Remember the three legs operating for a large portion of the year's remainder in varying degrees of tightness. Establish clear beliefs that get to your total bottom line (Jupiter), be willing to work hard applying all your talents will elbow grease, sweat and whatever (Saturn) all the while remembering you had a vision when you incarnated (Neptune) as to how this life should turn out. On Tuesday the 31st, in large cities and small towns all across the country, the Lightcrafty join in rallies one hour before Bush's address as we make our determination to "Drive Out the Bush Regime" the political message of the day. At 6:00 PM PST, just as Bush starts to speak, everywhere we will BRING THE NOISE. In a cacophony of sound, we will drown out his address with music: from drums to violins, from hip hop and classical; and with noise: banging pots and ringing church bells, sound car horns and lifting our voices. Were we cast out of the Garden, or did we choose to come here as part of a grand Metaversal experiment? Are we born sinners, or are we Divinity playing hide and seek with itself? Is the primary purpose of life to discover what to do - or what to be?

Do not remove the special goggles just yet. What appears as blackness in this case is a visual field so rich in data you can't see the florist for the bees. So just surrender and take things [It's not necessary to write this down -it will happen to you again, in the same way] shaggy muzzle of a perfunctory dispatch nuzzles your crotch and growls at the same time you look out the window and realize its pane is really a liquid crystal display of something much nicer than what actually exists beyond the frame. This New Moon shows us: We are at the junction of love and fear, and if we stay on the all-too-familiar path of ScareCity - we're totally forked... we can do the same old same old and get the same old results, or... we can try something different for a change. Instead of ScareCity, we can go for ABunDance. That is when we get up off of our assets, move our buns, and dance together in rhythm and flow. Can it work? Well, consider what hasn't worked. There are two reasons to do this. One is a secret and the other is a lie. Our Metaversal thunderbolt of revelation resembles a corkscrew'n more ways than 1.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 29th
Today is the New Moon in Aquarius marking the Chinese New Year that always begins on the Aquarius New Moon. This is the year of the Fire Dog or Red Dog. Any New Year point especially at a New Moon is a time for planting seeds or clarifying and energizing intentions. This provides additional support for dreaming the dream of a new reality - restructuring our experience of life through the sacred geometry of the Metaverse, as a time translation where Heaven and Earth unite. As in Goethe's Faust, the paradigmatic scientist sells his soul to the devil in return for unlimited knowledge and power. The guiding spirit of modern science, according to the Faust myth, is a demon, a fallen angel called Mephistopheles. How seriously do we need to take the idea that our whole society and civilization is under the possession of such a spirit, worshiped through sex, money, addiction and power? We're near the midway point between winter and spring, known in ancient times as a cross-quarter day - an extra-potent time for prayers and ceremony. As the Sun moves through the sign of Aquarius, daylight grows in the Northern Hemisphere, associating this sign with hope and progress. Aquarius is the third air sign in the zodiac, concerned with ideals and innovations affecting the collective. Several factors turn our attention toward envisioning the future and our place in it. Not only are the Sun and Moon in Aquarius, but also Mercury, Chiron, and Neptune, generating a strong tailwind for reform. The Moon transits Aquarius once a month, and the Sun and Mercury are in that sign once each year; however, Chiron visits the eleventh sign only every 50 years, and Neptune even less frequently: every 168 years. On a much larger scale, the precession of the equinoxes aligns the destiny of the Earth with the revolutionary energies of Aquarius every 26,000 years, a period known as the Platonic or Great Year. Is this the dawning of a Metaversal age? Although there are various markers for
when it actually begins, there is little doubt that - environmentally, politically, financially, socially - we've reached a critical time and a critical mass. Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius and the planet of revolution, conjoined Pluto, the planet of evolution, for most of the 1960s. Since that decade, there has been a steady increase
in a group termed the "Cultural Creatives" by researchers Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson. Attributes of the Cultural Creatives parallel those associated with Aquarian ideals: equal rights, freedom of expression, valuing relationship and community, working toward unity in diversity.

Cultural Creatives now comprise at least 26 percent of the U.S. population and an even higher percentage of some European countries. They cross all demographic divisions of age, location, religion, and economic status, and they may not realize that there are millions of people who share their values. Jupiter at 17° Scorpio squares Neptune at 17° Aquarius, challenging us to release our fears and reown our projections. Because of Jupiter's retrograde motion, he will closely square Neptune until the end of April and will continue to unmask fabrications and reveal new truths until his third and final square with Neptune on September 24. Saturn at 8° Leo opposes this New Moon, focusing our awareness on where we have abdicated our authority and where we need to see others as they really are. Venus is nearing the end of her retrograde stay in Saturn's sign, turning direct at 16° Capricorn on February 3, the same day that Mars reaches his shadow point, the degree where he last stationed retrograde (23° Taurus on October 1, 2005).

All these aspects are illustrated by the Sabian symbol for this New Moon, 10° Aquarius:

"A man who had for a time become the embodiment of a popular ideal is made to realize that as a person he is not this ideal; the need to deal with human beings as persons rather than as screens upon which one projects one? dream and ideal."

With the focus on privatization, public-private partnerships, (dismantling local control); anyone with any common sense about them can see that; incrementally the power of the people is being given over to corporate control through various venues. Once upon a time we were subjects, then citizens, and now consumers. Everything is for sale. TV 'programming' is set up to entice "consumers" through the 3000 daily ads to buy, buy, buy. Utilities-waste-nursing homes, and even the people's water (once in local control) is open to the highest bidder or those with the most influence. In "public private partnerships or privatization" (despite the lofty high pitch sales rhetoric) means only one thing. A plundering of the people's money. Profits take precedence over any and all health or environmental concerns. It's pigs at the trough time, locally-state wise and nationally. This is not just happening in one or two isolated places but across the nation. Because we are narrowly focused (many times only one newspaper) parochially; we have little to no idea of the larger picture and what is being set in place. Is a great war between the good and evil angels being acted out on Earth? We hardly know how to think or talk about such possibilities since they are so alien to the official, standard models of Western history. You may need to recite a liturgical formula of praise to a mischievous, ugly demon rigid from sexual excitement today. Lucky you.

MONDAY, JANUARY 30th
The Moon moves into Pisces this afternoon and conjuncts Uranus tomorrow energizing the mysteries of radical compassion especially when we practice acts of kindness.
Research indicates that acts of kindness benefit not only the person who receives the kindness and the person who gives it but also anyone who happens to witness it bringing feelings of richness and fulfillment to our lives and Kindness promotes good health and longevity. Well, Your Name, have you come this far (to the end of the Lunar year) to spread intricate sadness with all possible combinations of dour gesticulations and complex facial contortions? Didn't think so. Is there any way Moon in Pisces could please you without resorting to the obvious? By the time we come to Pisces, no one ever knows what time it is, but all have the sense that it must be getting very, very late. Hey, we could rename skyscrapers cloudsnaggers. Punches could be thrown out of windows, showering spirits upon those living below the party line. Nightcaps could be dislodged an hour later on holidays, extending daylight for the revellers and looters. We've been and are everything. Identities and boundaries get very fuzzy at this stage, and they're supposed to. Moon in Pisces reminds us that we are on an infinite journey, ever leaving, ever returning. Where have we been? And who are we? We are a raindrop. We are the ocean. As warm jets, we are ever slow here and glide lusciously, just overhead, spreading our Lightcraft's auralchemy over the topomorphic fields. We are the particles and waves that blink in and out of existence. This is the enigma of Pisces. Paradox. Mysticism. Madness. The longing for Home and the realization that we never left.

The glyph for Pisces, two fishes swimming in opposite directions, symbolizes the imperative to integrate two dimensions - the finite and the infinite. Neptune, which rules Pisces, was the mythic God of the Sea; he is associated with the swells of emotion and the vast mysteries of the collective unconscious. In the modern Western world, this is largely misunderstood territory. Chickadees have been known to fornicate with badgers here, for christsakes. We're trained to trust logic and reason, not dreams or feelings. We're rewarded for achieving material gain rather than developing our imagination or our compassion. It's no coincidence that those who struggle with addictions are often idealistic, artistic souls who have a strong connection to the twelfth sign, the 12th house, or its natural ruler, Neptune. Eventually, we realize that spiritual longings cannot be sated by food, drugs, sex, or the right deodorant. So, what will satisfy our deepest desires? This Pisces Moon calls us to remember our soul's yearnings. Why did we incarnate? What have we come to give? Each of us signed a prenatal contract, which can be delineated by the degrees of our natal planets and their accompanying spiritual principles. Everything seethes and churns in this region, but that's okay: it's all part of Pisces, and soon you won't notice it anyway as you enter into your own state of turbulescent grace.

Whatever calls you from outside the curtain can wait. You're here now, and ready at last to open your eyes. When you do, you'll see that Time is a soft jagged wave moving through you and Space is a malleable domain sculpted by perception. Rest assured: the voluptuous terror you feel swiftly gives way to splendour. Suddenly you will re more awake than you've been since retiring from the womb. The secret phenomenological truth, encrypted against corruption at your birth but now transmitted lucidly across every synapse, is that the World is determined by imaginative volition. How much love can one being express? Now that this has been revealed, your purpose is clear. You might as well get used to it: How much light can one craft carry? How much truth can one being speak?

TUESDAY, JANUARY 31st
This is the Day we discovered the Door
that was open to all from the Start
this is the Day we traded in War
in exchange for a wide-open Heart

This is the birthday
of Love and of Light and the Child
the Day when we took off our diapers
and entangled our lives with the Wild.

Messenger Mercury moves to conjunct Neptune tomorrow (17 Aquarius) inspiring new visions and dreams from a grand Metaversal perspective. This is a good time for looking larger away from what has always been toward a whole new and perhaps even more magickal life expression. Mercury and Neptune together remind us that a truly magical life is possible when we are willing to embrace and experience it. It's time to match the surplus of what bakes your schtick. Consider this a call for self exploration. It's time to scratch the surface of what makes you tick. Consider this a call for self exploration. Each time you notice a strong reaction to the stimuli in your life, that's notification to examine why you feel the way you do. All hurt feelings, personal injustices and insults to your ego require back peddling in the psyche to determine the point of origination. Try changing your mind about the assumptions you made in situations that did not work out well. Try believing that others meant to preserve their needs and meant no affront to you. Express everything you want, allowing others to respond as they can. Imposing your will or trying to maneuver the response of others will backfire, creating more hurtful feelings. Some people cannot help you. Others will be glad to rally.

Hold your flag high, and so those who follow can find you. At 5:00 PM we rally at Union Square. At 6:00 PM PST, just as Bush starts to speak, everywhere we will BRING THE NOISE. In a cacophony of sound, a severe outbreak of senseless veneration, we will drown out his address with musick: from drums to violins, from hip hop and classical; Untimely script from the loom of oneirica. Don't own an area in the nano era. A molecular tremendum with noise: banging pots and ringing church bells, sound car horns and lifting our voices, in a state of torpor induced artificially by motor-driven resonators and metal tubes. This Saturday the 4th, after the State of the Union address, massive numbers will protest at the seat of government. Prominent voices of conscience will help deliver the people's verdict on Bush's criminal regime with our demand: Bush Step Down And Take Your Program with You!

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1st
What do you want to accomplish? Your gonna start a Magickal project. Today is the day to get it moving. Start out by clearly delineating your goals, and then go for it. The Metaverse will help you get rolling , when at 2:46 p.m. the Moon enters Aries. You can, in fact, create the kind of transformation which will represent a major positive step in your life. The Action vibe continues until late tonight. In the cities there will be talk of rain and fire. Reach through the television haze and strangle your archetypes. They were beginning to wonder if they'd ever feel your hands around their throats. The drums roll, and imbued with Aries determination, we march right ahead. We demand justice and fairness, even if we have to fight for it. Mercury conjuncts Neptune in Aquarius today and inspired thought comes our way in a series of bursts that last four minutes and fifty-two seconds. Making some sort of indelible imprint in your consciousness of these nuggets of ingenium reminds you for the next one hundred eighty-seven days that you must apply a chunk of time to your project each and every day. In this manner, the passion for the effort builds. The ultimate satisfaction comes only with completion of the project. The matter here is that of sustaining a craving in your soul to do what it is you felt you incarnated to do. The opening allows creating a dimension of Metaversal access leading to a direct fulfillment of your dharma. Pretty Cool, huh.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd
CANDLEMAS: Groundhog Day

Moon continues in Aries, with energetic aspects. This is a day to be physically active. Give yourself some retreat time and bless your Magickial candles for the year and remember: I am just a voice made out of chemicals and you can interrupt this dictation by rolling over onto your back then returning to the original position, if you can find it again. This resets the words as a lottery tumbler would shuffle tickets by the revolving of its drum Even so, evening will be intense. Security problems continue to show up in the financial sectors. Likely part of this is manifested as the government's desperate lunge to get their hands on our assets. Paraluminary incantations wafting, nipped at by polluted dogs who know not what they do. . In new horizon, in golden swarms, in comes tomorrow, it's thunder storms over the hill... The future falls, beyond these walls, Destiny calling, like the dawn a sweeter thrill...

One listen will add years to your life....

If you haven't already discovered the Georgia & August Greenberg Sing Songs for You and Me release on Comfort Stand, I command you on this fine Saturday afternoon to drop whatever you're doing, download all of the songs, then turn it up and get ready to royally enjoy yourself.

download complete release: zip (18.8MB)
zip contains mp3s+art. select track titles below to download individual mp3 files.

I especially love the tune called Mr. Rolly, where August, in the middle of singing the song, gets tired, breathes a heavy sigh and then asks her dad if he knows another song. Priceless, this childhood kingdom.

They really do rule the world, you know...

Applauding Dissent

More ballsy, gutsy kids like these, please!

Alberto Gonzales spoke before law students at Georgetown today, justifying illegal, unauthorized surveilance of US citizens, but during the course of his speech the students in class did something pretty ballsy and brave. They got up from their seats and turned their backs to him.

It's important to have at least one or two of these places handy for certain moments when you really need to a) smile so much it makes your face freeze up b) laugh until you almost pee c) have your head explode d) all of the above.

Oh, and the site owner's commentary RULES!

Ladies, Gents, I bring you (yet again), the must-see and heavily-blogged:

CUTE OVERLOAD (Enter At Your Own Risk)

Here's a wee sample:

120 Years of Electronic Music

Electronic Musical Instrument 1870 - 1990

This site charts the development of electronic musical instruments from 1870 to 1990. For the purposes of this project electronic musical instruments are defined as instruments that synthesise sounds from an electronic source. This definition leaves out a whole section of hybrid electronic instruments developed at the end of the last century that used electronics to manipulate or amplify sounds and tape recorders/ Musique Concrete, it has been decided to leave in some non electronic instruments such as the Futurists "Intonarumori" due to their importance in the history of modern music.

The main focus of the site is on instruments developed from the beginning of the century until the 1960's. The more modern and current Synthesiser companies have been included for the sake of 'historical completeness' but are already well documented elsewhere on the internet, a comprehensive set of links are provided.

Work currently (2004)in progress is a section documenting audio synthesis software from 1950 to 2004...

LIVE performance + interview in the KPFA STUDIOS
TARA RODGERS ('Analog Tara')

hosted by dAS (and co-host ninah pixie...)

Tara performed a live mix of her recent compositions:
The 20 Largest State-to-State Migration Flows, 1995-2000 (Source: US Census Data)

20 compositions that render patterns of movement from census data in synthesized sound. Each sound pulse represents the movement of approximately 83 people. Altogether the sounds reference the state-to-state migrations of 4.6+ million people, many of which were due to economic factors or retirees moving from cold to warmer climates. In the compositions: latitude and longitude coordinates of state capitals determine pitch intervals. Elevation differences between cities generate rhythmic patterns. Directions of pitch intervals illustrate outflow or reverse migration. If pairs of states appeared twice on the list, the most populous cities were substituted for state capitals in the second occurrence.

Dalai Lama to ‘retire’ from Tibetan politics

via Newindpress.com
Tuesday January 17 2006 11:51 IST

AMARAVATI: The Dalai Lama virtually announced his ‘retirement’ from Tibetan politics and said he would concentrate on spirituality.

At the concluding day of the 12-day-long 30th Kalachakra Empowerment, the Dalai Lama said elected representatives of the Tibetan people would deal with issues connected with China.

Observers here felt it was a strategic departure from his earlier comments during the Kalachakra to ‘buy peace’ with China and also to pave the way for a diplomatic dialogue with the Chinese authorities.

On the first day of Kalachakra he had said, people in Tibet were living under difficult circumstances. Yesterday he said Tibetans were looking forward to a reunion with China. But today he told reporters that he would not speak politics and issues related to Tibetan people’s struggle.

He declared his ‘semi-retirement’ from public life. ‘‘I have three goals before me. I will concentrate on the first two goals, which are more spiritual and religious in nature. First, promotion of spiritual and human values among the people and the second, creating better understanding among various religions to end conflicts,’’ he said.

‘‘The third goal has a political dimension. I have the moral responsibility to look after the Tibetan people, who have put a lot of faith and trust in me. However, there have been elected representatives for them for the last four years.

Dat Politics

They are my new best friends.

Watch their video THIS WAY and then follow up with this one (most excellent!)

Be sure to visit the entire ski-pp site-- definitely worth the trip!

The group was formed in october 1998 and are a 4 piece unit based from the northern French city of Lille.
Three of the group’s members have been operating for several years under the name Tone Rec with 3 albums on the SubRosa label from Bruxelles, Belgium.

Dat Politics was simultaneously discovered by the London, UK based label Fat Cat and the Cologne, Germany based A-Musik label, who released their first records.
After that they started their own label Skipp.

They're an all-laptop quartet mixing click-beats with glitch-melodies and sounds, but they sound very unlike most other laptop musicians. Their music is a mixture between minimalism, electro - pop- acoustic & deconstructed techno, with a very joyful and humorous touch to it.

Drones and phones...

Haven't done one of these audioblog things yet, but wanted to try, so here's an attempt at using my new SunRocket VoIP service and posting an Audioblog. It's not the greatest quality sound file, but as a test I did a simple shruti box drone. I will try this again soon.

this is an audio post - click to play
BTW: if anyone is interested, I can wholeheartedly recommend SunRocket as a good choice (US only, I believe). The connection quality has been crystal clear and in two days there has been no noticeable hitches, glitches or downtime. Will continue the report in a week or so. We decided to keep our regular landline for a week or so while we're switching things and still testing out the new service, but I can pretty much say at this point I am convinced to make the jump completely. I'm really looking forward to my parting conversation with AT&T, who, by the way, have already wedged their way in with their own VoIP offerings, although they are quite a bit more expensive than Vonage or SunRocket.

It's weird, at first, to fathom the freedom one feels when realizing that there is no longer the need for guilt pangs when calling long distance and talking for an hour at a time. I could get used to this...

Cloud Pop (HNIA)

CLOUD POP (The Cloud Box sampler)

His Name Is Alive remains one of my favourite artists ever to be released on the 4AD label. Just dropped by their website tonite after spending the last few days thinking about hearing their music again and noticed they are offering a special download of their latest work "Cloud Pop" (mp3's for a limited time).

It's all quite lovely, no shock there, but always a delight to discover new tracks from them. Highly recommend downloading them all. It's a nice set of music to hear, especially the two part composition entitled "The Pine Cone" (parts I and II).

Named after history class notes on Abraham Lincoln, the Livonia, Michigan-based sonic manipulators His Name Is Alive formed when multi-instrumentalist and producer Warren Defever (also of shockabilly group Elvis Hitler) was still in high school. Defever, former schoolmate Karin Oliver (vocals), and drummer Damian Lang released self-produced cassettes of their music, one of which made its way to Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the pioneering art label 4AD. Intrigued with His Name Is Alive's blend of spectral vocals, poetic lyrics, and textural guitars, Watts signed the band.

Metaversal Waterweek Forecast (Jan 6-12)

Brought to you by Johannes Ayres...

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM
THE METAVERSAL WATERWEEK FORECAST

BRIAH THE WORLD OF WATER
Second Quarter Moon
-WATERWEEK-
January 6th to January 12th

So what can we expect from this second week of the Capricorn Lunar cycle? The Moon's second quarter is where we utilize the power of Metaversal Mind, Water, the kabbalistic world of Briah, the Pattern, through the medium of our Emotional and Mental bodies. Since Briah is the realm of Gods and Faeries, Angels and Goddess's, Images and Symbols, Visions and Voices we can expect nothing less than knowledge and conversation with the patterns of our deep Selves, what Jung calls "aspects of The Self, the unified, self-organizing entity we are expressions of". The active second quarter moon on Friday starts the week set into motion our Capricorn need to build. Aries indeed can help us get things going, and can help us make that First Quarter breakthrough, and enjoy doing it. Aries likes the competition (so does Capricorn) and the challenge of pushing through a new endeavor. Aries is associated with Mars, and Mars now-in the Washington DC chart-is in the 12th house of secrets. However, it squares the midheaven, where it meets the public, and hidden things will now emerge into plain sight.

This is a great time for doing deep psychological work which can further our connections to reality, and thus strengthen our foundations. However, we do need to be truthful and penetrating, for Neptune on the midheaven encourages illusions and denial. Aries, however, can give us the courage to pursue that search for truth. Juno is rising, and abuse and "terror" continue to be big issues. A full 8th house shows active transformation in regard to resources and finances. The debt load of the U.S. may be starting to topple the economy. Venus retrograde is conjoining the U.S. Pluto, and re-evaluation of U.S. financial power is happening. Venus will return to this place, traveling direct, on March 1. There are three yods, or Fingers of God, in the sky today, showing that sudden and fated events create a big turn of the wheel. Their apexes, or levers, are our old friends, Jupiter and Saturn, who are associated with the systems which run the normal world, and Vesta, guardian of the hearth, concerned about all kinds of security and protection, including financial and territorial. Vesta is in the 2nd house of money, conjoined the U.S. and Bush Suns, and the nation's security will make a shift. Saturn is on the 4th house cusp of foundations, and Jupiter is in the 6th house of work and service, including the military. A weather or terrorist disaster is certainly possible with these many quincunx energies. Be prepared Friday for the unexpected. It's a good day to at least plan and prepare for emergencies.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 6
If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. In many places around the world, Today is celebrated as Epiphany (also known as the "The Adoration of the Magi" ) ending the twelve days of Christmas as calculated in traditional times. This is the time when the Three Kings, Three Wise Men or Three Magi: Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar are honored for following the star to Bethlehem and bringing the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Christ child. The Moon is in Aries all day, all headstrong and full of piss and vinegar. Aries represents the period from birth to seven months old, when as new borns, we experience everything as an extension of ourselves. Virtually all energy is devoted to having our needs met. On the World scale, Aries is between 48,000 BC and 26,000 BC, when the primitive Neanderthals were trounced upon by Cro-magnons. They were virtually identical to modern Homo Sapiens, yet anthropologists do not know from whence they came. The Aries Moon can be so enthused with it's own adventure that it might seem a little arrogant. Don't take it personally. The focus is on action, not reaction. This is the active moon which sets into motion our Capricorn need to build. Aries indeed can help us get things going, and can help us make that First Quarter breakthrough, and enjoy doing it. Aries likes the competition (so does Capricorn) and the challenge of pushing through a new endeavor.

Get the responsibilities taken care of early so the rest of the day and night can be devoted to our Lady Aphrodite. At Metaversal Lightcraft, Saturn and Venus have tabled a plan to incrementally raise the instinct awareness levels in afflicted fish, birds and insects. With Venus retrograde in Capricorn restoring innate migratory aptitudes, you can rest assured that a flock of monarch butterflies destined for the Transvolcanic Plateau in Mexico will not end up at a truckstop in Langenberg, Saskatchewan. And who hasn't seen news reports about infertile tortoises, hermaphroditic birds, and six-eyed fish? Perhaps you've even caught one of the latter yourself, while casting your line at the cottage. True, for the most part, these abnormalities are side-effects of chemical dumping, nuclear testing, and other human activities - but humans are a part of Nature, and other species must be equipped to adapt to the novelties introduced by Homo sapiens. Mutational Versatility has always been a major part of the Metaversal Lightcraft mandate. We're thrilled to have the opportunity to put our specialized techniques in the service of our Gaian siblings - to accelerate the evolutionary adaptability towards which all sensible species strive. Also on the agenda is the expansion of her role as chemical supplier to meet the pharmacological needs of various insects, arachnids and cephalopods: bombardier beetles need hydroquinone to stun their assailants, spiders need vortexylene to spin their webs, cuttlefish need customized ink to... well, we're not entirely sure - but where there's a need for 'alchemy' in the Wild Kingdom, Venus will be ready with the goods. And this brings us to what may well be the most exciting aspect of our new Venus retrograde in Capricorn endeavours: Iao Core Cyclonic Generation and Deployment. I'm sure you'll agree that there's nothing quite so thrilling and beautiful as a good tornado. But if you happen to be living in the path of one of these pneumatic wonders, it may be difficult to fully enjoy its poetic grandeur. All in all, tornadoes have been dispensed too randomly. The haphazard, 'anything goes' approach to cyclone vending just does not work in our modern industrialized civilization. The answer? Tornado Vigilance Induction - or TVI, a computer-engineered system for the controlled instigation and direction of tornadoes. Provinces and states that choose membership in our TVI program will be guaranteed, for a seasonal fee, that tornadoes will strike only in designated geographical areas at pre-ordained times. Not only will this eliminate the danger and expense of unwanted cyclones, it will open the door to entrepreneurial and recreational opportunities unimaginable prior to deregulation.

Tornado watching, in designated 'twister valleys', will become the spectator sport par excellence. The potential tourism and broadcast revenue this represents for subscribing governments is stupendous. Furthermore, thrillseeker pastimes such as skydiving, bungee jumping and golfing will be all but forgotten in the wake of the tornado-surfing craze that's sure to sweep the continent. Why be the daredevil who dangles from a cliff or hurtles down the Falls in a barrel - or, for that matter, the couch salamander who watches it all on TV - when you can safely spiral through the air in a specially designed Torsurfer suit from Metaversal Lightcraft. The possibilities, as you can surely begin to imagine, are endless. Not since the Garden of Eden has humanity been granted so magnificent an opportunity to benignly direct the natural domain. This time we won't blow it. With Metaversal Lightcraft leading the way, the future of our earthly adventure will be one of efficiency, fascination and corporate good Circular breathing or (k)not, the Eternal Feminine will lure to perfection, and your Lightcraft will be everywhere at once, in several countries, several states, distributed across multiple time zones, through the solar system, conducting interdisciplinary excavations of Bush's cosmetically concealed train wreck, spectacularly vomiting on to the floor of a hyper-abyssic temple at the peak of an outstanding sonic attack. Goddamn, I Love You!

SATURDAY, JANUARY 7
This morning we may feel feisty, and relationships may not go smoothly, especially before Moon goes VOC in Aries at 6:34 a.m. PST. Moon enters solid Taurus at 12:09 p.m., and we can relax a bit after a couple of high pressure days. It's a good day to take care of mundane chores. Again, we have aspects throughout the night and early morning, transmitting the Light-Specific mysteries of transceivership, beauty and intimacy. When we can truly receive who we are within ourselves it comes from a place of personal intimacy. The original Latin root of intimacy is intimare meaning "to make familiar with." Becoming familiar with ourselves, knowing and respecting who we are assists us in truly experiencing deep intimacy (or closeness) with another who is also willing to share who they truly are. The true art of intimacy extends to every level of being including physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. With the Moon in Taurus we are tuned into the Sensual World. A pure heart mirrors unbounded love in every heartbeat.!. These next couple of days are great for deepening your own personal intimate connection with yourself and those you love? I hope this isn't an ackward time to mention that the structural basis for all Light-specific work in the Metaverse is regular, disciplined connection to the No-Form, meditation, contemplation, what ever you want to call it, as long as it's deep. Supremely solitary in that heath of scrub. The Light-Specific state initiates itself with SOLITUDE, the gratifying element of being alone (if only for 20 minutes a day)... without which, true development is impossible. The point is to connect to your inner source of stability, the state of potentia, the No-Form, at least once a day. No-Form is not a goal or state of "spiritual arrival" (as some religions would have us believe), it is a highly practical, multi-purpose tool for dissolving our identification with the ego. If you want to play with us, this is the only rule. The foundation of our Lightcraft is built in Chaos, so you must maintain a firm foundation, or Chaos your life will be. Some of us need this connection four times a day (sunrise, true noon, sunset, true midnight). Some of us actually manage to do it four times a day. It is a choice you must make. I would do it for you if I could. Once a day is all that's required to maintain the Continuity function. Future generations of yourself will be glad this came to pass. The Lightcraft Academy, Yoga Ceremonial Magick, this astrology forecast, they all provide ritual technology for Self initiation. But the key word here is Self. D.I.Y

SUNDAY, JANUARY 8
This morning is good for hard, intense work, and the afternoon is idea time. Watch for inspiration on solving practical problems. Beginning early this morning, the moon stimulates our entire fixed grand square. We get a mild sample of its energy during the entire day. Night can be sparkling. With the Moon in well-grounded Taurus, it's less bullshit, more pasture, yet never has mankind been so full of manure, or needed so desperately the proper soil to cultivate its higher consciousness, than today. Now I don't mind telling you that my ego hates the idea of being shit for someone else's buddhahood! " How can you believe in astrology?," angry, drunken Basque separatists have asked me. I tell them that astrology is not a belief system, but an archetypal, poetic language. I don't ask you if you believe in Japanese. I ask if you speak it. I don't ask you if you believe in music, I ask if you play it. I happen to speak the heavenly tongue of astrology along with thousands of other highly intelligent, inspiring, spiritual and even scientific astrologers. If I never have to deal with angry, drunken Basque separatists who have stolen the Shroud Of Turin again, it'll be too soon. Still, if my destiny is to be an untransformed seed-cum-manure of a man - or to put it another way - if I can at least be the source of unconscious friction that triggers another Christ or Buddha's urgency to awaken, then so be it. Fertilize my ego! But overeating makes a poor substitute for oral sex as smoking does for breast feeding, so today I suggest we celebrate the Moon in Taurus by not smoking or overeating chocolate, reading some James Joyce to a sexy loved one and singing out (for Taurus rules the throat) "Thwartpeatrick, the rock on which we build our church! Mercury (8 Capricorn) sextile Uranus (8 Pisces) suggests unusual messages are possible designed to revolutionize and shift our assemblage point, or the beliefs we hold about our current reality. Even a small perspective shift can rearrange our current reality and expand our experience into new territory especially when are rolling with the flow and trusting the process.

MONDAY, JANUARY 9
This morning is loving and sensual. Enjoy your breakfast. Relationships are also congenial. At 11:56 a.m. Moon goes VOC, and remains so until it enters Gemini at5:58 p.m. Make your own decisions this afternoon. Waxing Moon in Gemini is linked with the archetypal image of the Fool jumping empty handed into the void completely having surrendered the mind realizing the mind can not know it all and when we move beyond logic and reason magically the laws of gravity or of this reality no longer effect us. This is the Dominion of Tricks, the Realm of the Pranksters. This is where you let me... no - you won't even let me do that here, will you. Remembrance frayed in the shredder of dismay and distance. A lot of people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidences and things. They don't realize that there's this like, lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. I'll give you an example, show you what I mean. Suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly somebody will say like, plate or shrimp, or plate of shrimp out of the blue no explanation. No point in looking for one either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness. Connect today with the zero point between Metaverse and Lightpilot through a moment of folded compassion. That timeless feeling that occurs when ones focus is completely in the present encompassing the folded space of the past and futures. As an iceskater who brings in her arms to speed up and have more spin, the thought tentacles that are brought from past and future to present and centered, concentrate intense spin AND AWARENESS. Here in the center of the lightening of spirit lies the infinite information hook-up which living cells require to survive. This electric fractal information con-centricitywhispers the meaning and direction of a "long-wave" context. The long wave connection to all that is.Note - tonight the Moon is moving towards the fixed Star Aldebaran also known as the Eye of the Bull and tomorrow night will have moved just beyond this star.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 10
The Moon conjuncts the fixed star Aldebaran mid-day today. Tonight the Moon will be visible near Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull, connected to the mysteries of the mind. Veering at the mercy of decadent thighs, in billowing abandonment, a serpent dancing on the coy derrière, a baton in the bawdy dunes. The supportive energies of Aldebaran are available when we approach its mysteries with integrity, honor and purity of intent. Sobbing and laughing from the fjord to the poorhouse, the tattooed infant teethes, balancing maliciously over the sea in the jejune elephantine dawn. Aldebaran is linked with the original genetic coding that allowed for the experience of free will here on planet Earth and can help us in co-creating the experience of Heaven on Earth. A chemical fountain floods the parlour of grace, the grand dance of desolate glaciers which lay chained to remote beaches, where birds and rodents thaw. The Moon is a transmitter illuminating these mysteries and how we can more consciously engage them. Generate terrific monuments made of coloured steam. Open the Gaudì folds and release things.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11
Moon is crossing the Galactic Anti-Center today and tomorrow morning will cross the June Solstice point at the intersection of the Milky Way and the Ecliptic. The Galactic Anti-center is located at the center of the Sacred Hoop of stars reminding us that any doctrine or religious movement that advocates shameful wickedness with the alphabet must be interconnected. Each point of the Hoop is a liturgical formula of praise to a mischievous ugly demon rigid from sexual excitement, essential to the whole of life. Each person holds a place (no more or less important than any other place) within the Sacred Hoop of life and it is up to us to fulfill our part by showing up at a card game in which the first player to get rid of his cards hangs from the ceiling to address with abusive language a group of aquatic invertebrate animals and expressing who we are as authentically and genuinely as possible. It is true that Pluto now approaches the core of our Sun's gravitational nucleus, the Galactic Center (GC or Z). Since his discovery, this is the first time Pluto has transited our Galactic Core and the black hole (Sgr A) within it. For purposes of perspective, every 248 years - the cycle required for Pluto's position to come back to any position in the zodiac - the world does not end - unless revisionist history truly did take over when we were not looking. The Galactic Center contains pure informational essence that provides the inspiration to conceive technologies that further humankind. Consider that with Uranus there early in the 20th Century, mechanized flight began to choruses of "If God had intended for man to fly..." With Pluto we can expect, within the same theme, the ability to commercialize space travel just as Richard Branson and the Ansari X Prize promise. Life shaping and death defying technologies stand to appear that challenge our sensibilities regarding God's view of life and death versus that of ethical and moral views held by humans. Breakthroughs in documenting the whereabouts, DNA, mind set and whatever for each and every person on the planet likely comes forth. Is it good to know all about a person's DNA during a disaster? Objectively, sure. Is it good to know where a person goes and what they think in every moment of life? More, inspiration for an objective, spiritually motivated, inclusive society absolutely, without a doubt, comes down the pike in the near future to those who learn to "listen" - a process of conscious channeling regarding the Z point.

It is my estimation that an exponential volume of downloaded cosmic insight gets grabbed by tuned in beings. Further, this era exceeds, for physical, symbolic and enlightenment purposes, the significance of the expiration of the Mayan Calendar. Simply, download the information. Know that such progressive insight appears in bitter pill forms at first. The messages appear to imply conditions of error, wrongness and inadequacy. Yet, six to nine months later, as the sweetened gel cap version appears, the messages morph into constructive, augmenting, expanding, opening, enhancing and brilliantly illuminating insights. The only thing humanity needs to fear is the subjective poison of being afraid of being wrong about any view held. Instead of clinging to wrong, adjust, upgrade and install the latest cosmic insights. Then, by all objective standards, subjectivity and a lack of progress fall to the sword of Metaversal Truth(s), all of which will be upgraded later as humanity integrates the current iterations of inspired insight. You know, the Metaversal version of one step at a time. Every time I think about it I get a shock. Sparks fly from my third eye, light-spray from my crown in a luminous froth: brain waves crashing on cranial shores. On obsessive nights this stroboscopic cogitation hypnotizes passersby on the street outside my room.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 12
The Moon enters Cancer early this morning crossing the June solstice marker near Galactic Anti-center located inside the Sacred Hoop further illuminating the Celestial Grid as we move toward the Full Moon tomorrow. The Cancer mysteries are interested in nurturing the experience of intimacy and closeness with our family and friends. Focusing on the nurturing expression of loving kindness towards ourselves and others is a great way to engage this upcoming Full Moon energy. Moon rise is around 4 pm today, 5 pm on the 13th, 6 pm and on the 14th and 7 pm on 15th depending on local horizon line. In streams like these, motions turn up that cannot be replaced. In hail we storm the edifices of the Moon more incredible than the bursting of a thousand hearts amplified through vacufazers at full speed. This month is likely to further challenge and expand our current perception of reality. The old structures are giving way to new concepts and ideas. The more we try to hang on to what has been the more intense the events will be to force us to let go. The change is happening because it is time. Letting go of all our preconceived ideas of reality and how things should or should not be helps facilitate what is already in process. Inspired action (Mars) that is guided by our inner knowing (Neptune) helps to consciously and innovately (Aquarius) co-create a new expanded (Jupiter) reality (Saturn) beyond what we have previously imagined. This is a natural pre-ordained process similar to what happens to the caterpillar when it is time to become a butterfly. So just as the caterpillar can't fully imagine what it is like to be a butterfly neither can we fully comprehend or imagine what is shifting and changing, or where it will suck away the dross and clutter of this virulent cultural undermind rampant with dubious sampled notions and half-digested leftover memetic visions. Only then will the dragonflies stop venting their anger on the first mate of your Ship of State. Only then will the provisional gods you've held behind plexiglas step forth with new recipes for meringue soufflé, and heaven knows what other wonders.

Tear down the pyramids and let whales dine on the mummies of kings! Everything must go out on the wind. Not a typical wind. Neither my hair nor my clothing are stirred by it. I call this phenomenon the 'parazephyr': a subtle current not reliant upon air molecules for its material influence. And while I couldn't detect it as a physical force, I did have a kind of internal awareness of its presence - somewhat like the mild exhilaration many of us are prone to at the approach of an electrical storm. The temperature of the zone is approximately 23°c. Nevertheless, an eclectic poly-climatic assortment of plant life flourishes there. Tropical ferns and vines - that appears to be banisteriopsis caapi in the foreground - thrive alongside peyote and other forms of cactus, while mushrooms such as stropharia cubensis spring up alongside the trunks of sumac, silver (if it can still be called silver) maple, and other typically northern species of tree. I tasted the sap of one such maple but it was completely flavourless. It occurred to me that my sense of taste might be nullified in that setting, but when I put my finger to my lips after pricking it on a cactus needle I could taste the blood. Later, when I bit into a dusky peach I couldn't taste it at all, though the aroma of this otherworldly fruit was magnificent.

Stardust in your eyes...

I'd actually first heard about this last month on the G4 network (cable teevee) but it hadn't sunk in that the film really IS in production as of now, and has been slated for release in 2007. I can't believe it's TRUE!! It's TRUE!!! They're making my favourite Neil Gaiman novel into a film!

O Sweet-Faerie-flutter-heart-pitter-pixie-dust-flutter-flutter!!

originally announced October 26, 2005

Variety has revealed that Layer Cake director, Matthew Vaughn, is in final negotiations to direct and produce a live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's adult-orientated fairy tale Stardust.

Gaiman's first novel, the wonderfully titled "Stardust: Being a Romance Within the Realms of Faerie," was released in 1997 to critical and commercial acclaim, scooping the 1999 Mythopoeic Award for best adult novel. The story tells the tale of a young man in a small village in deep in the English countryside where both magic and normality meet. The man, attempting to win the love of his sweetheart, promised to bring her back a fallen star from the dangerous magical realm where he must face all manner of witches, goblins, gnomes, trolls and every other fantasy cliche you care to imagine.

Vaughn wrote the screenplay for the film with his writing partnet Jane Goldman and the studio is hoping the film will combine elements of the stupidly lucrative Harry Potter franchise with elements from past classics such as The Princess Bride and The NeverEnding Story. It's an interesting project for Vaughn to helm after succesfully breaking himself in with Layer Cake and almost directing X-Men 3 for Fox (Brett Ratner later replaced him after he left the project) and his highly-stylised visuals could certainly bring a much-needed real-world quality to an otherwise fantastical and implausible world.

Right fucking on, Daevid.

Truth.

Mirror.

UPDATE: Blogger finally seems to work and I'm able (as Cheeseball so eloquently put it) "swear like a drunken sailor" once more in my own blog-dom. Life is good.

Escaping the 'phone mafia', part one...

In exactly five days from now, dAS and I will be one step closer to a cheaper phone bill and a major leap away from the phone mafia. We decided that 2006 was the year we'd stop getting reamed by the phone company (just the regular landline- we have no cell) so we started checking into broadband phone tech- or what is known as VoIP (Voice-Over-Internet Protocol).

Out here in the bay area, especially the Oakland area where we live, SBC just merged with AT&T, so now there is only ONE local service here in the area, which is basically what you call a monopoly, and I think, well, I'm fairly sure that's illegal (but in our times, who knows...) Anyway, it's really been a thorn in our side that since we are hardly phone-users at all, own no cellphones, and neither one of us spends more than 2-3 hours per week on the phone, we've basically been throwing our money out the window for years. Our two phone bills alone (Working Assets for long distance, and SBC for local) add up to around $40-50/month, depending on the amount of long distance calls we make each month. Not like we had a choice. Until now, that is...

There's been a bunch of hooplah lately with adverts blipping in and out about these new VoIP services like Vonage and so forth, so we looked around and compare shopped, and ended up choosing one called SunRocket. The plan we've just signed up for involves paying for a year at once ($199) although they have monthly plans, and only costs $18/month (unlimited US calls, etc.) I highly recommend checking into it and getting yourselves out of similar corporate bondage, if it interests you.

I'll give a little report on the quality/service once we get it all rigged up and working, but for now I am just excited to have an alternative course of action instead of being backed up into a corner by the phone mafia.

The Six Thousand

Cliff Pickover's been a busy guy.

He's created some new blogs recently, and of them the latest is something he calls THE SIX THOUSAND ("6000 intriguing people you want to meet online before you die...")

Some of my friends sort of nominated me to be on this list (you know who you are!) and Cliff wrote me the other day to let me know he'd really enjoy having me on the list, so there we have it folks. Name up in lights sorta thing, view HERE.

Thank you so much, Cliff, this really made me feel all sparkly'n stuff.

At last, I am free...

I can hardly see in front of me...

Happy 2006, everyone.

Well, I did it. I was able to meet my goal of finishing all of the pre-press work and cd mastering (with dAS's help, that is) for Women Take Back The Noise! Wheeee. Nothing like working a marathon week and a half solid, staying up until 3-4am each night, forgetting to eat, etc. Anyway, I just wanted to take a second here and document it, just because... The big fun is yet-to-come. We've still got circuit-bending to do. Lots of it. Thousands of little tiny wires, solder fumes, yum.

and suddenly, I feel like singing.

Wait. How 'bout this instead? Let's hear Liz Fraser do it (better than I could)-- here's a cover (mp3) of a favourite Robert Wyatt tune ("At Last, I Am Free") which very much encapsulates how I am feeling as of this moment.
(limited time download, will be removed from my server in a week...)
