Tarsem's pretty amazing. All those guys - Fincher, Jonze, Tarsem, were part of the Propaganda crowd that I hung out with in the late '80s. Interesting to see them becoming the new core of American cinema.

Little story: We had an office at Propaganda for some music clips we were doing in, oh, maybe '89? Anyways, it had recently been vacated by a guy called David Lynch who had been working on a project there with Steve Golin and Yani Sighvatsson (who owned Propaganda). Stuff from this David Lynch guy kept getting faxed to Propaganda via 'our' office, you know, letters, notes, pages from this project he was doing. Some weird shit... (reading the pages as they came off the machine... Laura Palmer...wrapped in plastic... Agent Dale Cooper...)
I kid you not.

pretty pretty pretty, pity pity pity... that's my 6 word review. gorgeous eye candy, but unfortunately the story lost its umph toward the end. see it though, it's worth it.

Yeah, doesn't surprise me. Tarsem is very flashy but suffers from that problem of... er... 'substance' shall we say. But hey, it sounds better than most and that's something!
